Where the gospel meets this type
Jesus offers fullness of joy in his presence (Psalm 16:11), and it is joy that does not need to run from sorrow. He himself was a man of sorrows (Isaiah 53:3) who went through suffering, not around it, for the joy set before him (Hebrews 12:2). The enthusiast can face the hard parts, because real joy is waiting on the other side.
The Enneagram is a lens for reflection, not a diagnosis.
