A loyal realist who would not believe until he saw, and then said the most.

The story

1. Let us go and die John 11:7-16

   When Jesus heads back toward danger, Thomas urges the others to go and die with him.

2. How can we know the way John 14:4-6

   He admits he does not know where Jesus is going. Jesus says he is the way.

3. Absent and unbelieving John 20:24-25

   He misses the first appearance and refuses to believe without seeing and touching the wounds.

4. My Lord and my God John 20:26-29

   Jesus comes back and offers his hands and side. Thomas confesses him as Lord and God.

5. With the others John 21:1-2; Acts 1:13

   He is with the disciples by the sea and in the upper room, waiting for the Spirit.
