Simon the Zealot

Known by one word, zeal, and then by the One he followed.

The story

1. Called the Zealot Luke 6:13-15

   Jesus chose him as one of the Twelve. Luke records the name he carried, Simon who was called the Zealot.

2. Scattered at the arrest Mark 14:50

   When the crowd came with swords and clubs, all the disciples left Jesus and fled.

3. One accord in prayer Acts 1:13-14

   After the ascension he is in the upper room, praying with the other apostles, the women, and Jesus' family.
