Malachi

The last prophetic voice before four hundred years of silence, promising a messenger.

The story

1. I have loved you Mal 1:1-5

   God opens with love, and the people ask: how have you loved us?

2. Blind and lame offerings Mal 1:6-14

   Priests offer God what they would never give their governor.

3. The wife of your youth Mal 2:13-16

   God says he hates divorce and treachery against a covenant partner.

4. The refiner's fire Mal 3:1-4

   A messenger will prepare the way, and the Lord will come to refine.

5. The sun of righteousness Mal 4:1-6

   Elijah will come before the day of the LORD, to turn hearts.
