Rachel

The wife Jacob loved most, who longed for children and died giving birth on the road.

The story

1. At the well Gen 29:9-12

   Jacob meets her with her father's sheep and weeps for joy.

2. Seven years Gen 29:18-30

   Jacob works for her and is tricked; he marries her a week after Leah.

3. Give me children Gen 30:1-8

   She envies her sister and gives Jacob her servant Bilhah.

4. God remembered her Gen 30:22-24

   God opens her womb and she names her son Joseph.

5. On the road Gen 35:16-20

   She dies giving birth to Benjamin near Bethlehem.
