Joseph of Arimathea

A rich council member and secret disciple who found his courage on the worst day.

The story

1. Looking for the kingdom Luke 23:50-51

   A good man on the council, waiting for God's kingdom.

2. Secretly a disciple John 19:38

   He follows Jesus, but in hiding, out of fear.

3. Did not consent Luke 23:51

   He does not agree with the council's decision.

4. Took courage Mark 15:42-45

   He goes to Pilate and asks for the body.

5. His own new tomb Matt 27:59-60; John 19:39-42

   With Nicodemus he buries Jesus in his own tomb.
