Absalom

David's handsome son, who avenged his sister, stole the hearts of Israel and died in a rebellion against his father.

The story

1. Tamar's brother 2 Sam 13:20-22

   He takes in his sister and waits.

2. Revenge at the feast 2 Sam 13:28-38

   Amnon is killed; Absalom flees to Geshur.

3. Home but not seen 2 Sam 14:24-33

   Two years before his father kisses him.

4. At the gate 2 Sam 15:1-6

   He steals the hearts of Israel.

5. King in Hebron 2 Sam 15:10-14

   David flees Jerusalem.

6. The oak 2 Sam 18:9-15

   Caught in a tree and killed.

7. O my son 2 Sam 18:33

   David weeps for him.
